We have been retained by an MNC in the Engineering and Automation Sector to search a:

Designation: Head Of Commercial Finance

Location: Pune

Qualification: CA mandatory (Should be less than 45 yrs of age)


This position reports to the CFO and will have all commercial resources directly / indirectly report into him


JD• The candidate, should have atleast 15 years experience in heading Commercial Function of a EPC company, Large Project Company, or in Capital Good Industry

• Should have extensive experience in Contracting for Large Turnkey Projects from a Contracts Administration perspective like Bank Guarantees, Liquidated Damages, Price Reduction Clauses, and other quasi judicial process such as Arbitration, etc

• Should have expert knowledge on the Commercial Aspects of Indirect Taxation more specifically to Customs, Excise, Service and Sales Tax

• Should have good negotiation skills and articulation skill to participate in Customer negotiation meetings such a Commercial Kick Off, Pre Bid Meetings and other Customer meetings

• Should be focused on all working capital initiatives like Vendor Terms negotiation, tax optimization, Customer payment terms negotiation

Exposure to the following is essential:
• Effective Logistics Management - Planning & Execution of entire procurement and distribution cycle to ensure that Project deadline are duly met.
• . Entrusted with additional responsibility of planning effective cost control strategies through price negotiations, vendor management, quality improvement Preparation of Project reports, Working capital Management
• Preparation & implementation of Product and Pricing Strategies through in-depth Market Analysis and submission of appropriate MIS to facilitate Senior Management in Decision-Making process.
• Budget planning & control for SCM activities
• Activity Based Costing
• Liaison with banks for financing.
• MIS and Budgetary Reports.
• Cost of Capital Analysis, Target & Strategic Cost Management, Performance Measurement
• . Advance Budgeting and variation analysis
• . Financial Analysis, Preparation of New Project Reports,. Implementation of Value Engineering Processes to ensure quality cost control and practices
• . MIS, Profitability Statement, Analysis of Budget and Targets
• . Preparation of Project Report for arranging Finance of New Units.
