TRANSITIONS PROGRAM MANAGER, Pune

We have been retained by an MNC in the Engineering and Automation Sector to search a:
POSITION: TRANSITIONS PROGRAM MANAGER
LOCATIONS: Pune India
This $13-Billion enterprise offers controls for heating, ventilating, and air conditioning; security systems, fire alarm systems, and energy management systems for all indoor environments. From home thermostats to large commercial building management systems, services, and controls.
Position Summary:The Transition Program Management Role will provide significant strategic business unit functional (SBU) and geographical exposure for a highly energetic & talented individual looking to accelerate their career. This role will have responsibility for strategically evaluating & executing major complex & commercial transitions projects .The projects range from Acquisition Integrations, Factory repositioning, & Strategic Sourcing initiatives. An ability to shape innovative solutions and demonstrable success in delivery, supported by strengths in leadership, influence, communication, and decision making are therefore required
This position requires international travel.
Responsibilities Include:
• Manage and facilitate the planning, development and implementation of operational strategies during the transition of manufacturing sites, processes and products.
• Works as a member of transition project teams responsible for process and product analyses, characterization methods, and hidden factory capture.
• Use six sigma and lean manufacturing principles to implement corrective and improvement actions during the transition process.
• Ensures adherence to the operations transition strategies, plans, and schedules.
• Ensure the operations process is completed on time, within budget with associated cost savings and zero customer impact.
• Continuously improve and document the operations transition process through implementation of six sigma tools, best practices, experiences, etc�
• Perform financial modeling for repositions/transition projects to assist in overall make/buy decisions.
• Track financial results related to cost and saving of transition projects.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other technical field required.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in project management.
• Previous transition experience on production line or sourcing projects.
• Six Sigma certification or other similar lean methodologies.
• Manufacturing domain knowledge.
Additional Qualifications:
• Previous Transitions experience an advantage.
• Master's degree is preferred (i.e., MBA or other relevant field).
• Six Sigma Black Belt is preferred.
• Professional Project Management qualifications (i.e., PMI) is preferred.
• Aware & understands international & virtual teamwork.
• Good understanding of Project Management Methodologies.
• Can lead change, think out of the box, & make new ideas happen.
• High energy individual with superior verbal & written communication & presentation skills.
• Demonstrates a bias for action and disciplined execution.
