Manager (Engineering), Mumbai

Hi!

We are from Resources-India Consultants, New Delhi . We are into Executive Search and Selection from Senior to Middle level management.

We have been retained by an MNC in the Engineering and Automation Sector to search a

Title : Manager (Engineering)
Location: Mumbai

Qualification:ME Degree in Structural/Chemical Engineering or MBA
BE Degree with PG diploma in structural Engineering
Reporting to General Manager

Experience: Minimum years of experience 12-20 years
Preferred Industry :Oil & Gas


Key Responsibilities

• Over all sectors of engineering and reporting to the General Manager of Indian Operations
• Preparation of Project proposals and submission cost estimates basing on customer MR
• In charge of managing engineering disciplines including drafting, structural, process, piping, instrumentation,etc.
• Responsible for execution of complete design and documentation for Incineration and Flare projects with Indian customers
• Will be responsible for hiring a team of engineers to support all Indian orders.
• Preparation of project preliminary design
• Oversee preparation of process data sheet, Mechanical & Thermal calculations', and Mechanical data sheets for the projects
• Timely preparation of Bids along with full detailed scope of the project giving due consideration to the specifications of the MR
• Be the lead negotiator with customer concerning technical issues throughout the project
• Preparation of proper Schedule for the engineering activities including Customer/Consultant approval of documents.
• Finalize the Document index to be submitted to the customer/consultant
• Allotment of design task to Structural Engineers
• Finalize the drafting of drawings and submit the drawings to Customer/consultant. for approval.
• Follow up with Customer/consultants till the drawings/documents are approved under Code-1
• Issue at least code 2 approved documents/drawings to Project team for procurement/fabrication of equipment.
• Interact with project group on various engineering aspect s till the project is completed.
• Developing new business activities for both existing and new product lines such as Waste Heater Boilers, process heaters, etc.
• Train the staff in all modern concept of design, drafting etc by organizing in house training program.
• Resolve all fabrication and erection related design problems.
• Provide backup for other key departmental positions
• Interact with TULSA design team for functional guidance and for job assigned by them.
• Interact with Customers/Consultants through out the period for design/drawing/documents approval and for resolving any engineering/process issues till the project is completed.
Experience / Exposure

Skill sets
Candidate with experience in Refinery/Power Plants Projects from bidding stage to implementation stage including Design, drafting & process development. Should have exposure to design of fabrication, erection of Pressure vessels, Thermal Oxidizers, Boilers, Burners, & stack.
Leadership skills

Communication and Interpersonal – Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to deal tactfully, confidently, and ethically with both internal and external customers.

Position is responsible for assisting the Project group in soliciting bids, performing bid evaluation and issuing Purchase Orders, He/she is also responsible to assist the project group in managing the project in professional manner & to have up date project status reporting and analyzing. Understanding of instrumentation & control equipment is required

Functional skills

Technical –Ability to understand design requirement of project and including process requirement. Preparation of process flow diagram, Structural designing , preparation of P&ID to meet the design and control requirement.
