We have been retained by an MNC in the Engineering and Automation Sector to search a
Director-Sales and Marketing
Division: Analytics (Fixed and Portable Gas Detection products and systems)
Location : Gurgaon
Reporting into: Director Ops-South Asia
1. Purpose of the Job
To build a profitable and sustainable business. To lead and manage the portfolio of Fixed and Portable Gas Detection products and systems with the objective of reaching set growth targets and develop new market sectors within the core and adjacent markets. Manage a hi profile team of Sales ,Service and operations managers .
2. Principal Responsibilities
a. Growth and development of Gas detection business in the Indian sub continent including Pakistan, Srilanka, Bangladesh, inclusive system sales through system engineering partners as well as managing products distribution through established channels.
b. Achieve productivity, earnings and cash flow commitments by driving the productivity enablers and initiatives and focusing relentlessly on satisfying customers.
c. Enlisting every employee in the growth plan and creating and nurturing a great workplace through learning and development.
d.Sales and Marketing responsibilities including:
• Comprehensive project marketing of Gas detection Systems through the process of Tendering, Design engineering to project execution and Control and coordinate the products sales through selection and appointment of Channel Partners, EPC contractors. Conduct distributor and client training programs. To develop and execute the “go to market” strategy for Gas detection products. Managing and forecasting sales trends, competitive activity; pricing strategies for sales,service and profitability
• General management with responsibility for overall growth and profitability of the business
• Relationship management for Registration and product approval from various leading EPC organisations, Large System integrators, Govt. Public and Private sector organizations, majority from Oil and Gas vertical, Engineering consultants
• Business Development, Promotion and Product Management

Take lead for new growth initiatives

1. Education Required
Engineering with good degree
MBA or post graduate qualification
2. Work Experience Required
12-15 years proven track record in related areas
Experience of working in matrix, multi national organisation. Preferably in high tech or business to business channel structure
3. Technical Skills & Specific Knowledge Required
Comfortable with technology and engineering environments.
4. Behavioural Competencies Required
Credible, process driven, task orientated, resourceful, tenacious, completer/finisher.
Comfortable in autonomous environment, and multi function virtual teams
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
