Position : Manager / Senior Manager - Learning & Development
Location : Pune

Reports to : Head – Learning & Development

Major Purpose :Our Client’s , Regional Campus India Project will be launched by 1st week of March 2009. This is a major start up project for Learning and Development function in India. L & D needs to provide world class Learning & Development solutions at reasonable Indian cost. The purpose is to enhance employees learning & development, competency building, employee education, aligned to the demands of fast expanding business growth. One of the major tasks of the function would be to adapt, implement, customize and monitor leadership development processes.

Major Duties :Provide detailed information specific to the work performed in the position using up to 8 duties as necessary. Provide information specific to the position as to why it maps to the proposed global job. This information should supplement and support the information already provided in the global job description.
• Overall responsible for regional campus implementation. Conceptualization, high level and detailed planning of project and monitoring progress.
• Identifying and planning of learning paths, identification and selection of suppliers for training, customization of programs.
• Supervise and take decisions on suitable learning solutions on competency gaps and developmental goals from Performance Management System.
• Assist in talent management and leadership development process.
• Identify overall learning and development needs at India region across units and levels.
• Works with regional learning leaders and functional training coordinator to ensure effective administration of functional training. Identifying and associating with training institutions and working with functional training experts to ensure that the training needs are met.
• Responsible for administration of HR based training programs for the region.
• Conducts behavioral training programs for grade 8 and above employees for the region.
• Responsible for designing and implementing a training process for fresh engineers hired from premier colleges of India.
• Supervise design and development of instructional material, job aids and procure material for courses. Customize learning as per standards and cultural needs for the region.
• Creates and monitors training budget. Comparative cost analysis of programs, seminars, workshops, venues, faculties and institutions. Evaluation of new training facilities in order to meet standards at reasonable cost.
• Take decisions on analysis of employee feedback, faculty ratings and takes actions to enhance training effectiveness.
• Supervises training specialists at both the Tech Center and Factory to ensure that all learning and development goals and metrics are met. Ensures standards of training facilities and stay in case of residential programs.

Team size : Will mentor two L&D reps at the two existing units.

Travel : Moderate ( 20%)
