Director (Marketing)-Asia Pacific

We are from Resources-India Consultants, New Delhi . We are into Executive Search and Selection from Senior to Middle level management.

We have been retained by an MNC in the Engineering and Automation Sector to search a :

Director (Marketing)-Asia Pacific
Exp: 10-18 yrs

Location: Gurgaon


Key Requirements• 8-10 years of Product Management / Marketing experience in a B to B company with IT/ Electronics industry experience. A BE+ MBA is a desirable Qualification
• Very strong general outbound product marketing skills. Broad functional experience in areas of strategic planning and marketing, business and market development, market research and planning and promotions/advertising.
• Very strong strategy development and implementation experience. Preferably in the marketing function or a management consulting organization
• Ability to work effectively with senior-level executives and manage internal customer relationships. Must be able to work with executives, leaders and staff of affiliated companies.
• Marketing knowledge and experience in multinational (Pan-APAC) business.
• Strong interpersonal skills, maturity and good judgment and be capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals.
• Strong leadership attributes to inspire and manage direct reports across multiple geographies
• Top tier MBA with technical background preferred.
• Possess strong Office Automation Product knowledge (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Business Leadership Support• Ensures the continued and long term growth and success of the business while striving to meet shorter term business objectives
• Develops the annual marketing plan and the tactics and resources necessary to achieve business goals
• Creates an institutional and system-wide marketing reporting function that can track, measure and analyze performance
• Implements best marketing practices across APAC
• Develops, facilitates and monitors working capital strategies, including inventory, payment terms, and reserves. Drives operations planning processes to balance sales objectives with working capital requirements.



Strategic Marketing• Drives APAC strategy & business analysis: Develops the strategic business development plan, communicates the plan to the businesses, and manages the successful implementation of this plan across APAC
• Prepares presentations to explain the current and future strategies & activities of the business
• Defines and segments channel customers (dealer, SI, installer). Creates mechanisms to capture true voice of customer and then translate it into customer segment specific marketing and sales strategy
• Works with regional teams to put together a “value add” proposition to positively differentiate the business from current and future competition

Product Marketing• Leads in setting the product, marketing and sales promotion strategy and Product vis-à-vis customer segment positioning.
• Develops, leads and coaches regional Product Marketing teams in order to ensure there is a consistent coordinated message between the regional businesses and all vendors across APAC
• Negotiates, develops, manages and influences beneficial partnerships with key vendors to ensure the whole business gains from these partnerships through growth in sales
• Spearheads company initiatives for the consolidation of existing suppliers. Develops processes to identify local suppliers that have the potential to become preferential/strategic vendors. Develops processes to ensure any newly considered vendors are in line with the strategic business development plan
• Develops processes to identify and proactively drive the introduction of new products, product categories and services within the organization to maximize sales for new business opportunities
• Builds and drives core channel management capabilities for each product line.
• Ensures expansion of customer base in each product category and ensures sales revenue / gross margins/ inventory levels for each product line

Marketing Communications & Sales Promotions• Develops and implements tools (software & IT tools; sales & marketing processes) for customer relationship management
• Oversees and provides direction to market and competitor analysis. Provides leadership, direction and management of the market research function
• Ensures all marketing communications are coordinated, support marketing plan objectives and are an effective expenditure of resources
• Drives new product launches and product launch strategy working with the Marketing Communications team. Develops Marketing Communication Plans and ensure 100% success on implementation with clear measurable increase in Sales/ GM.
• Drives the creation of new sales tools containing market-based product and competitive position, including collateral, white papers, presentations, web content and other customer, sales and channel communications.
• Brings creativity, with the abilities to infuse new ideas and innovative campaigns, to complement the strategic & tactical strength of the team.

Leadership & People Management• Recruits and manages high performance Product Marketing, strategic marketing and Marketing Communication Teams.
• Works intensively to create a collaborative atmosphere at all levels within the regional team to help them to grow their business
• Works closely with national and regional leadership team to review/ modify strategy.
• Interacts with global resources to learn and share best practices.
• Strong analytical technical understanding.
• Focused, high energy, team player, strong ethics, excellent communication skills (well-spoken and well-presented), good in relationship/rapport building, good negotiating skills.
• Ability to assimilate complex ideas and detailed information into elegant, written, spoken and visual communications.
• Ability to quickly grasp, analyze and define new concepts.
• Ability to assume ownership and responsibility for a complete project and to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be willing to travel both domestically and internationally
• Must be a passionate, professional, motivated quick learner who is comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
