Business Development Leader ( Life Sciences)

Our Client an MNC is a flagship entity for the Process Management business in India. The Process Management conglomerate consists of Seven Legal entities which includes business divisions and three engineering centers. They search a Business Development Leader ( Life Sciences) Location: Mumbai This India based BD/SME role will play a key role in the development of the growth plan. Experience and Exposure to the first 4 levels (desirable) of ISA S95 model (Level 0: drug manufacturing process; Level 1: Instruments; Level 2: Control; Level 3: MES) in the life sciences industry; must understand customer business problems; and the automation solutions required to solve those problems. Individual will report to the India Sales business leader. Key job functions: Business Development duties • Develop growth plan; & sales plan with the country organizations. Present to & gain buy-in from the country; Industry; & business unit executive management. A year-over-year growth of 30% is expected. • Develop a customer base through prospecting; Identifying opportunities; creating pursuits & pursuit strategy. • Mobilize country marketing system in identifying & hosting trade shows; sponsoring road shows; developing success stories etc • Represent India and Asia in the global Life Sciences growth planning sessions Subject Mater Expert (SME) duties • Understand and analyze customer pains & requirements; define solution & present to the customer. • Lead feasibility / assessment studies, guide operation in the front end engineering design (FEED) studies. Be the solution expert voice for the customer. • Lead the development of the solution; work with WA operations to develop the proposal; defend the total project approach and ensure sales closes the deal. • Work with operations to ensure projects are delivered. • Train country sales to increase situational fluency in life sciences industry such as regulatory; automation solutions; group initiates such as OEM; PAT and Generics Minimum Requirements: 1. Experience of 12- 18 years in the Life Science Industry, manufacturing process and engineering service experience. 2. Experienced in automation/ Technical Leadership 3. Working knowledge of instruments; control; and/or MES 4. Comfortable in C level Business discussions with clients 5. Must be versatile, self-starter and capable of working with a minimum of supervision 6. Must have excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills. 7. Bachelor of Engineering required.
