We have been retained by an MNC in the Electrical Devices and Systems Sector to search a Regional Leader (West), Location: Mumbai
The candidate should be an Engineer and an MBA with 12- 15 years experience in Formulation of Sales and Profit strategy by assisting senior management team to develop strategies, objectives and plans to maximize sales, customer service, operating efficiencies and profitability of the region and the company.
Skill Sets required
The successful candidate will have strong problem solving, creative thinking and proven organizational skills. You must have a positive and team oriented attitude and possess excellent written and oral communications skills, strong analytical skills, interpersonal and communication skills, self starter with an entrepreneurial flare
Negotiation Skills
Experience in establishing annual sales forecasts and budgets
Highly motivated manager/team player with proven leadership qualities
Key responsibilities
Be within NR Erosion Budget
Contribute effectively in Formulation of Sales and Profit strategy by assisting senior management team to develop strategies, objectives and plans to maximize sales, customer service, operating efficiencies and profitability of the region and the company.
Meeting net sales and margin objectives of the region (Responsible for Profit margins for the region)
Manage selling and customer service activities and sustain sales performance, profitability and customer satisfaction in the region.
Actively work with management to maintain margins, Responsible for monthly revenue quota at acceptable profitability targets on a consistent basis.
Appropriate Administration, budgeting, monitoring, reporting, communication
Analyzing the results of sales activities on a weekly basis. This includes preparing regular sales reports (weekly/monthly/quarterly/annually) showing sales volume, margins, lead status, sales forecast, etc.
Distribution channel analysis and Market development
Managing selected key marketing and strategic partner relationships. Network with Specifiers, Architects, Contractors
Directing all sales activities, managing selected key accounts, assure long-term sales growth and market focus while simultaneously closing short-term business.
Responsible for maintaining executive level contacts within key customers
Must conduct weekly sales meetings, training sessions and all other job related activities as scheduled
Facilitates communications and coordination between internal sales groups so that cross selling is accomplished.
Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction (Fulfillment of orders);
Ensure implementation of orders to completion and communicate key milestones back to customer.
Plan Promotional events for the region.
Market Intelligence
Provide field inputs in the area of new product development planning, seek and continuously develop knowledge and information about competitor activity, pricing and tactics, and communicate this to relevant departments in the Company on regular basis.
Control overheads (Cost Centre Budget)
Complete and send all management reports on time –
Retailing
Invoicing
People management
Ensure budgeted manpower in place.
The role would include people-management, recruitment, motivation, training and development of Sales Force in the region.
Assuring that all sales personnel are provided with superior training and support necessary to maintain an innovative high performance sales team.
Guide involved team members (Operations, Sales etc.) in meeting their Sales objectives
Develop team’s skills and capability through on-going training and keep self updated.
Adhere to health and safety policy, and other requirements relating to core values of the company
