a. Job Title / Designation : DGM Customer Quality, Powergen Products




2. Position Description :

Failure analysis of Engines and Components to find out root cause.
Customer Complaints Resolution thru Corrective and Preventive actions.
Interactions with Manufacturing, Engineering, Service Network & GOEM [Genset Original Equipment Manufacturer] people.
Field visits to review failures at site.
Interactions with end user customers,
Involvement in VPI [Value Package Introduction], PQC [Product Quality Committee] & ELF [Early Life Failure] projects.
Involvement in BIS [Before in Service] issue to drive till closure
Interaction for alternator issues.

3. Expected Background

· Graduation : BE or B. Tech. in Mechanical / Electrical Engg.

4. Experience : Overall 10 to 15 years and specific field related 8 to 10 years.

· Engines and supporting systems operation
· Knowledge in Genset application engines operation & electrical controls
· Strong communication skills – especially spoken and written English

OR
· Candidate from similar industries willing to take responsibilities as mentioned above

5. Age : Below 45 years

6. Skills sets required

· 7 Step problem solving methods
· 6 Sigma methodology
· Financial / Budgetary Control / Costing at User level
· Computer Proficiency at User level (Data compilation skills)
· Willingness to extensive traveling, if necessary.
